Ingredients

  • 900 g Salmon Filet, Skin On (2 Pieces, About 1 Pound Each)
  • 10 g Creole Seasoning (About 1 Tablespoon)
  • 30 ml Avocado Oil (About 2 Tablespoons)
  • 20 g Garlic, Sliced Thin (About 2 1/2 Tablespoons)
  • 2 Sprigs Fresh Lemon Thyme

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

Coat both sides of the Salmon in 15ml/1 Tablespoon avocado oil and Creole Seasoning. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Step 2

Pre-heat cast iron skillet to medium high. Add remaining oil to pan and sprinkle Creole Seasoning. Place the salmon in the pan skin up.

Step 3

After 4-6 minutes, depending on the thickness of the filet and desired cook, flip the salmon. Add garlic to oil, spooning oil over salmon.

Step 4

Place thyme on top of the salmon and continue spooning oil over top another 4-6 minutes or until skin is crispy.

Step 5

Serve with thyme and fried garlic slivers on top, and a lemon wedge if desired.
